The race for the country's next president grows even more intense as President Biden defiantly make his case to stay in the running. The entire election is brewing strong reactions from voters around the Hudson Valley.

"I do think it is a big deal, I do think the American people need to hear from him directly," says Westchester County Voter, Awilda Alvarado.

"I think the future of democracy is really what we're looking for," says Westchester County voter Veronica Bazemore.

Despite brief slip-ups in some of his answers and calls from more than a dozen members of congress for him to step aside, Biden says he is staying in the race.

"My vote is definitely Biden all day every day because I think democracy is at stake," says Alvarado.

It's a move that Alvarado supports, and she says that's not going to change.

However other voters we talked to tell News 12 they are checked out of the presidential race all together.

"I don't feel like these candidates are worth voting for in my opinion," says Yonkers resident Nicolette.

Or, they told News 12 their minds are already set on the other candidate.

"I'm going to vote for Donald Trump, I honestly wish I could vote for Kennedy and have him win," says Yonkers voter Steve.
