A sport not typically associated with the Bronx is once again bringing its premier event to the borough.
The Big Apple Field Hockey Festival is one of the sports premier international events. It took place on the Astroturf at Clinton High School. The winner of the festival earns a check and the Mayors Trophy.
This year, in the men's final, a team from France took on Rye FHC, a squad based in Westchester. Rye FHC got what it wanted for its 75th anniversary by winning the championship 2-1. And in the women's final, the University of Victoria defeated Malverin USA by a score of 2-1.
