‘It's a time to remember’: National Wreaths Across America day memorializes veterans

Congress designates a Saturday in December each year to recognize those who serve by laying wreaths on their grave sites.

National Wreaths Across America day is honoring the memory of veterans.
Congress designates a Saturday in December each year to recognize those who serve by laying wreaths on their grave sites.
"I think it's always important especially around the holidays time to come together. It's a time to remember, a time to cherish and to come out, and take a few moments out of our day around the holiday season to remember our veterans,” said Rep. Mike Lawler.
Nonprofit group Wreathes Across America was founded in 2007 to continue the tradition of honoring fallen heroes.
