America is an immigrant country, but who was the greatest immigrant? There's a “Jersey Proud” case to be made that it’s Albert Einstein.

It was on this day 91 years ago, that Einstein and his wife arrived at Ellis Island – Oct. 17, 1933. The Einsteins fled Nazi Germany to come to New Jersey. Seven years later, Einstein became a citizen. He lived the rest of his life on Mercer Street in Princeton, working just down the block at the Institute for Advanced Study.

One of the greatest minds in history was welcomed to New Jersey 91 years ago.
