An Orange County judge has outlined rules for the retrial of Edward Holley, accused of killing Megan McDonald in 2003.
The first trial ended in a mistrial last week.
Prosecutors and defense attorneys appeared in court Monday after the prosecution raised concerns about the lead defense attorney's media statements.
The judge instructed the defense not to publicly comment on witness credibility.
Both sides are due back in court May 5.
