Jury selection is scheduled to begin today in Washington, D.C in the trial of a former Newburgh tattoo parlor owner and three others in connection with the riots at the Capitol in January 2021.
Authorities say Roberto Minuta was a member of the Oath Keepers militia.
The 37-year-old, now a resident of Texas, faces a charge of seditious conspiracy that alleges he and others conspired to go to Washington and breach the Capitol in an effort to prevent Congress from certifying the electoral college vote.
Last month, Oath Keepers founder Stewart Rhodes was convicted of seditious conspiracy. That's punishable by up to 20 years in prison.
