A very good boy is being praised for helping to save the day in Dutchess County.

That very good boy is K9 Buddy.

The Dutchess County sheriff’s office says says Buddy and Deputy Brophy recently helped find a missing child.

During the search, the sheriff's office says K9 Buddy located the child safe and sound about 1 mile away from home.

News 12 is told Buddy earned plenty of "Scooby snacks" for his swift and excellent police work.
