Kingston establishes sister city relationship with Sokyryany, Ukraine

With this pact, the two cities have pledged to engage in mutually beneficial exchanges that will strengthen their cultures, societies, and economies.

Kingston has officially become a sister city with the City of Sokyryany in Ukraine.
Mayor Steven Noble signed the partnership agreement with the Ukrainian city's mayor, Vasyl Kozak.
With this pact, the two cities have pledged to engage in mutually beneficial exchanges that will strengthen their cultures, societies, and economies.
They also aim to promote peace and international understanding as partners.
Sokyryany, currently with 1,700 citizens fighting in the war against Russia, has lost 97 lives in the war effort to date.
Mayor Noble expressed Kingston's readiness to assist and support Sokyryany in its war recovery and future endeavors.
