A 17-year-old boy is in a coma after he was brutally beaten during an argument about the New York Knicks, police say. The attack unfolded after the team’s fourth championship series game versus the San Antonio Spurs in Midtown Manhattan.

The teen was attacked by a large group of people near 237 West 35th St., just blocks from Madison Square Garden at around 11:45 p.m. on Wednesday.

Police say they punched and kicked the 17-year-old all over his head and body before taking off running.

The attack caused the teen to suffer a seizure, according to the NYPD.

Paramedics rushed him to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue, where he remains comatose and in critical but stable condition.

Police released an image of one of the attackers involved in what they describe as a "gang assault."

Anyone with information is urged to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
