Two Toppins are better than one -- at least that's what the New York Knicks are hoping for.
The Knicks signed Jacob Toppin to a two-way contract after the NBA draft.
The former Ossining High School basketball standout averaged 12 points and nearly seven rebounds per game at the University of Kentucky last season.
It's another athletic success story for the Ossining School District. "There are some key principles that our athletic program really seeks to instill in our students -- A sense of dedication, hard work, perseverance, and I think this recent signing just speaks to that," said Ossining Superintendent of Schools Dr. Ray Sanchez.
Jacob's older brother Obi Toppin was drafted eighth overall by the Knicks in 2020. He also played two seasons at Ossining High School.
