There are signs that the Ku Klux Klan is campaigning in Orange County.
An article in a local newspaper reported the Ku Klux Klan has been leaving its calling card, asking for recruitments in local bars, rest rooms and even the post office in Port Jervis. The card gives a P.O. box in Port Jervis, but responses were referred to a Klan head based in Indiana.
Port Jervis Mayor Gary Lopriore says he is unaware of the current incident but will keep the community up to date with any developments. He adds he promises to protect the rights of everyone.
