? School administrators announced at a meeting last night that all Laurel Plains Elementary School students will attend Clarkstown South Elementary School for the rest of the week due to a strange odor that parents say is making their kids sick.
Half the student body was missing from the school for a second day yesterday after parents kept them home following an evacuation Thursday due to sewer odors.
Parents say their children had been complaining of sore throats, headaches and metallic taste for a few days before the evacuation and are nervous to send their kids back.
School officials say there is no reason to be concerned after numerous air quality tests show no further issues and the sewer system has been cleaned twice.
Parents however were demanding answers at the school this evening as children who did attend school yesterday returned home feeling sick.
