Life & legacy of Geroge Franklin Mclean honored in New Rochelle
Family and friends gathered on Friday to honor and celebrate the life of Geroge Franklin Mclean in New Rochelle.
Mclean was he was the first Black firefighter in New Rochelle Fire Department's history.
He became lieutenant in 1979, leaving behind a lasting legacy.
“It was a great sense of pride and enjoyment to know that my father broke that barrier. I just admired his strength,” says his son, Stephen Mclean.
