A lightning strike in Rye has left one osprey dead and another recovering at a wildlife center.
Police say the two birds were nesting on Kirby Lane when they were struck early Wednesday morning.
One of the ospreys died, while the other was taken to Green Chimneys Wildlife Center for treatment.
