With less than a week left before the Nov. 4 presidential election, Democrat and Republican volunteers are drumming up support by calling voters in Rockland County.
In New City, volunteers flock to the Republican headquarters every day to do their part in helping the struggling McCain/Palin ticket come out on top.
?We feel it?s important to get this vote out and get this economy back on track,? says Lee Doncan.
Although in Rockland County, Democrats outnumber Republicans 3-1, they are not taking any chances, echoing Sen. Barack Obama?s sentiment that it is too early to celebrate victory.
?This is the final push and we're very excited,? says Brenda Atkins, Rockland chairwoman of the Obama campaign. ?We're just full of energy trying to get the job done, trying to get the word out.?
