More than 700 Bronx kids are now attending a full day of pre-kindergarten classes. The City Council secured funding in this year's budget to expand the program. City Council Speaker Christine Quinn says students who attend a full day of class are less likely to drop out of school, repeat grades and require special education services. Quinn says she hopes to secure more funding in the future so that kids who are on the pre-k waiting list can attend classes as well.
