Strap on your boots and head out to spend some quality time with horses at Hudson Valley Horseplay in Ulster County.
"Horseplay provides opportunities for interactions between humans and horses," says Cori Nichols, of
Hudson Valley Horseplay.
The unique Ulster County farm gives visitors a chance to let down their guard and learn more about themselves all with the help of a horse.
"They are highly, highly, highly attuned to everything that's happening in the nonverbal world," says Nichols. "Usually, we'll have someone pick a horse to make a connection with."
Once a horse is found, it's time to head out for some simple exercises to help cultivate a friendship.
"The opportunity to build a trusted relationship with a horse can then give an individual a better opportunity to build or rebuild trust and relationships with other people," says Nichols.
