News 12’s Lisa LaRocca has a new special series that will take us all over the Hudson Valley every day for the next two weeks.

She will be visiting many of the wonderful communities in our area and showing off what makes them special.
Today, Lisa spent the morning in the quaint Hudson River Village of Piermont and says the view alone is worth the trip. That scenery is spectacular from Cornetta's Restaurant and Marina. The family-owned spot has been serving up scrumptious seafood from their waterfront pavilion for more than 40 years.
"We have an outdoor bar…you can have a drink while you wait for your table," says owner Maral Kalishian.
The charming riverfront village has one fun unique shop and eatery after another. At Ned Kelly & Company, you'll find a garden space in the back where they hold art showings, weddings and other events.
If you need a good laugh, check out Presence of Piermont, an eclectic mix of candles to clothes - all with a sense of humor. Owner Fara Abramson created an online special just for or visit today.
"Twenty-percent off today only and coupon code is News12," said Abramson.
The village is also a popular spot for cyclists. At Piermont Bicycle Connection, as many as 800 to 1,000 cyclists come through on a Saturday or Sunday.
"People come from a sports and recreation standpoint, with all the hiking and mountain biking. The most popular cycling route is 9W, which leads from the GWB all the way up to Bear Mountain," says owner Jason Barcoff.
And if you visit, make sure you walk out to the end of the pier. It goes a mile out into the Hudson River so you're literally standing in the middle of the river.
There's so much to see here that you could easily come for brunch and stay right through to dinner.
