Mamaroneck mother seeks answers after son hit by car

A concerned mother is seeking answers after her son was struck by a car over the weekend.

The incident reportedly occurred between 2 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Mamaroneck Avenue and New Street.

Taylor Mullens says a witnesses informed her that the white SUV involved had a male driver, a female passenger and a Rottweiler in the back seat.

After the collision, the man allegedly screamed at the boy before driving off.

Omar Lanier-Mullens, though shaken, suffered a bruised leg. His bike was damaged.

Attempts to obtain further information from the Village of Mamaroneck Police Department have not yet yielded a response.

Mullens urges anyone with information on the incident to come forward, as the VMPD is actively investigating the matter.
