Mamaroneck students honored for reducing plastic

Three Mamaroneck student were honored for their work helping reduce single-use plastics in Westchester
The three seniors, Larissa, Marion, and Katie, are part of the Original Civic Research and Action Class.
As part of the class, they've been helping local restaurants switch to only providing plastic utensils if people ask for them.
The students started working in the fall with county legislators to improve an existing bill - now law - on reducing single use plastic take-out utensils.
