The man arrested and charged in the fatal stabbing of a 16-year-old was arraigned before the Town of LaGrange Court.
The bail for Nestor Ortiz-Ocampo was set for $400,000.
The Poughkeepsie native has been remanded to the Dutchess County Jail.
The stabbing happened Friday evening following a football game at Arlington High School.
Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro reacted to the incident Saturday, saying: “A young life was taken last night. Our prayers with the student’s families and friends as they grapple with this tragedy.”
The name o the student has not been released.
The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help.
