Man charged in hate crime incident after pulling gun at Cortlandt gas station

A man was arrested after an alleged hate crime incident Friday night at a gas station in the town of Cortlandt on Albany Post Road.

State police say Sean Pearson walked up to two people, made degrading statements about their nationalities, pulled out a handgun and then ran off.

He was later arrested at his home, where police say they found a loaded handgun, an assault rifle and a high‑capacity magazine.
