Man found injured and zip-tied at Dutchess County cigar shop

Three men are accused of kidnapping and assaulting a man in Dutchess County.

State police say the incident happened just after 2:30 a.m. this past Thursday at Ambassador Cigar Shop on State Route 55 in LaGrange.

Troopers say they found the 31-year-old victim with injuries to his face and his hands zip-tied. Three other men, who claimed to be employees, were also at the scene.

State police arrested Jamal Maher, 20, of Highland, and two men from Yonkers, Mahamed Ali, 21, and Tareq Ali, 20. Police stated the suspects knew the victim. The motive remains unclear.
