Man in custody for robbery and assault of 71-year-old

According to police, Hargrove allegedly punched the victim in the face while inside the store. He then stole a $100 bill from the victim while he was on the floor.

A 26-year-old man, Tyjhe Hargrove, is in custody in connection with the robbery and assault of a 71-year-old man.

The incident occurred on July 3 at a gas and convenience store in Monticello.

According to police, Hargrove allegedly punched the victim in the face while inside the store. He then stole a $100 bill from the victim while he was on the floor.

Hargrove was arraigned and is being held on a $30,000 cash bail.
