A Westchester man has been sentenced to five years in state prison for breaking into a home in Carmel, where the mother of his children and her partner were living.
Authorities say Jorge Sari-Tenesaca disabled the home's security cameras around 1 a.m., entered the home through the kitchen window and then attacked the partner in his bed.
Sari-Tenesaca was arrested at the scene. Following arraignment and release, Sari-Tenesaca went missing for 11 months until authorities tracked him down and arrested him again.
He pleaded guilty as a second felony offender to one count of attempted burglary in November.
In addition to his five-year sentence, Sari-Tenesaca has been sentenced to five years of post-release supervision and had an eight-year order of protection filed against him.
