Violent rideshare dispute in Rockland County ends in dramatic arrest on RFK Bridge

Police are searching for the man who they say robbed, beat and groped a 20-year-old woman inside an elevator at a building in Allerton.

The violent incident happened Friday just before 11:30 p.m. near Mace and Bronxwood avenues.

According to investigators, the man followed the victim into the elevator where he grabbed her intimate parts, punched her in the face and snatched her cellphone.

The alleged attacker took off running after the robbery.

Investigators say the woman did not suffer serious injuries.

According to the NYPD, the man is around 26 years old, 5 feet 7 inches tall and 125 pounds. He has brown eyes and was last seen wearing a white shirt, blue pants, blue shoes and a blue baseball hat.
