Marist College will be home to one of three new temporary state-run COVID-19 vaccine sites starting Friday.
The site is at 51 Fulton St. in Poughkeepsie.
Dutchess County Marc Molinaro says that every appointment slot was filled within minutes.
So far, a little more than 20,000 Dutchess County residents have already completed their vaccinations, according to state statistics. It's a number that will likely get a boost during the Poughkeepsie site's six days of operation.
The 3,500 Johnson & Johnson single-dose vaccines will be administered, thanks to a partnership between the state, Marist and WMC Health.
Officials tell News 12 that if someone cancels, their appointment goes back up for grabs in the state's system.
