The Massapequa International Little League softball team punched its ticket to the Little League Softball World Series.
The lawn of Brady Park was turned into a watch party Friday to cheer on the girls as they advanced.
The team took down their Pennsylvania opponents 7-0 in Bristol, Connecticut.
"We were all jumping around," one fan says. "Everyone was jumping and chanting - it was so fun."
The Massapequa softball team also has won two New York State championships in a row.
In 2022, The Massapequa Coast Little League baseball team made a run to the Little League World Series.

The Massapequa softball team now will head to the Little League Softball World Series in North Carolina. Their first game is set for Aug. 7.
Fans say the win couldn't come at a better time for the tight-knit community.
