Authorities: 15 ducklings recovered in 2 separate rescue efforts in Bellport, RiversideTwo completely separate duckling rescue operations occurred in Bellport and Riverside Monday, with more than a dozen of them returned safely. The Save The Animals Rescue Foundation (STAR) was first called to Foxglove Circle in Bellport Monday morning for a duckling rescue from a storm drain. A member of their rescue and recovery team was able to rescue four ducklings.
Woman kidnapped by Connecticut murder suspect found safe in New Jersey; suspect still on the runA 23-year-old woman who said she was abducted by a college student suspected of killing two people in Connecticut has been found safe in New Jersey, police said Monday. The woman, whose boyfriend was found shot to death Sunday at a home in Derby, Connecticut, was located at a rest stop near Paterson with her 2016 Volkswagen Jetta. The woman told police that suspect Peter Manfredonia, 23, took her from the residence against her will, using her vehicle as a getaway car.
Have you ever seen a six-leaf clover?  A local 6-year-old recently found a six-leaf clover in Briarcliff Manor. Nate says he found the extremely rare clover he found in his backyard. Nate loves nature and had spent the last few weeks looking for a four-leaf clover, but instead, found this one.
Police: Man accused of assaulting officer, K-9 in SheltonA man is facing charges for allegedly assaulting a police officer and police dog in Shelton Saturday. Police say Officer Dan Loris and his K-9 Stryker saw Raymond Paszkowski on Cathy Drive. Pazkowski has two outstanding warrants and a history with police.
Teens stole carts from Brooklyn golf course, cause $100,000 damage, owner saysA group of teenagers in Brooklyn stole golf carts from Marine Park golf course, leaving behind a path of destruction, police say. The incident happened Sunday at Marine Park Golf Course. According to police, six golf carts were taken from the property and were spotted on Hendrickson Street nearby the course.
