The Bloomberg administration is ramping up efforts to get more New Yorkers to participate in this year's census count.
Officials say only 55 percent of New Yorkers responded during the most recent census outreach in 2000. Since then, the population has risen more than 4 percent.
Mayor Michael Bloomberg says one of the most important things to remember when considering participation in the census is that all information remains confidential.
