Family and friends mourned the loss of a Bronx man at a memorial Tuesday.

Loved ones gathered to remember Tito Morales, who died after being trapped between an elevator car and the elevator shaft in a Tinton Avenue building.

Officials say Morales, 20, had been taking part in an activity called "elevator surfing." They say Morales got on top of the elevator and somehow got trapped between the shaft wall and the elevator car between the 18th and 19th floors.

News 12 The Bronx is told Morales was visiting his girlfriend and others who live in the building.
