Memorial Stadium to host Mount Vernon High School graduation for the 1st time in 20 years

For the first time in almost 20 years, Mount Vernon's High School graduation will take place at Memorial Stadium.
The stadium reopened back in September after being shut down for 12 years.
Mayor Shawyn Patterson-Howard says she's thrilled for students to walk across the same field she did on her graduation day.
"I'm a proud graduate of the Class of 1986. This was the tradition when I went to school. We are excited to see this tradition return here to Memorial Stadium in Mount Vernon."
Graduation will take place Friday at 10 a.m.
