Metro-North crews are urging commuters to use caution when traveling in the wintry weather expected overnight into Tuesday morning.
The crews say they are ready to salt platforms and stairs, remove snow, maintain switches and remove fallen trees.
Still, they say travelers should be careful on trains, platforms and stairs because they could all be slippery.
The Metro-North also suggests commuters to build in some extra time and check their Train Time app in case there are any weather-related train service impacts.
For people traveling to the city, the MTA is doing similar preparation work, such as putting chains on buses.
