A local college already has a huge stake in a new shopping plaza.
Construction on the Triangle Plaza Hub has been underway for a year now. The $35 million, 88,000-square-foot plaza will bring 191 permanent jobs to the borough.
Metropolitan College recently purchased a spot in the complex. College President Vinton Thompson says the school will possibly partner with the College of New Rochelle in a high school equivalency initiative.
Restaurants and shops, including Fine Fare Supermarket and Vistasite Eye Care, will also be in the shopping center. The latest retailer to sign on for a spot is Boston Market.
