Michele Powers is a Weekend Meteorologist at News 12 New Jersey. Powers officially joined the weather team in December 2005 and she is very excited to be forecasting for all her family and friends.
?From a very young age, Powers has had an interest in meteorology and astronomy.  She credits her love of science to her mother, who was a math teacher.  When she went back to school to take more classes in meteorology, she decided to enroll at Kean University.  She found out while studying there, that one of her favorite meteorology professors, also taught her mom years prior.
Powers has earned the NWA Broadcaster's Seal of Approval.
Outside of work, she loves spending time with her rescue rabbits, riding motorcycles and taking ballet classes.
