The Middletown School District is suing the city of Middletown over the right to connect a new elementary school to the city?s sewer system.
The city is blocking the school from connecting to the current sewer system because it claims the system can?t handle the new school and is asking the district pay more than $1 million to install a new sewer line.
The district claims that it is not its responsibility to pay and that hundreds of homes and businesses use the system without issue.
If no agreement can be reached soon, the case will go to court in mid-September.
