A Bronx family?s 35-day search for a missing 16-year-old girl came to an end this week when police revealed the teen was dead.
According to authorities, Tiana Rice was last seen leaving her Willamsbridge home on Dec. 30 and heading to her friend?s house in Brooklyn to drop off a Christmas present.
Police say they found Rice?s lifeless body inside a Brooklyn apartment that same day after receiving a call that the teen was having an asthma attack. The medical examiner confirmed the girl died of natural causes.
Rice?s body was in the Kings County Hospital morgue for more than a month before officials notified the teen?s parents of her death.
