Coastal flooding possible. Coastal flood warning issued for southern Nassau County 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from noon to 4 p.m. for northern Nassau County. Chance of coastal flooding islandwide through Sunday morning.
Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Rich Hoffman says we are tracking a coastal low east of Long Island that will give us breezy conditions through the weekend. Most of Long Island stays dry, but there's a chance that a few showers move over the East End of Long Island. The start of fall temperatures looks to be a little bit below average.
TODAY: Partly sunny, mostly cloudy for eastern Suffolk County with chance of showers and highs in the low-70s with a high near 77.
TONIGHT: Partly cloudy, chance of a passing shower over the East End with a low around 59.
SATURDAY: Partly sunny, chance of a passing shower over the East End, with a high near 72.
SATURDAY NIGHT: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 57.
SUNDAY: Partly sunny, with a high near 72.
SUNDAY NIGHT: Partly cloudy, with a low around 55.
MONDAY: Partly sunny, with a high near 70. MONDAY NIGHT: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 56. TUESDAY: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 69.
