After starting the year with a 7-0 record in conference play, John F. Kennedy High School lost to its long-time rival, Monroe. Thursday?s game was the first meeting of the season for the two rival teams. Both teams entered the game with confidence, off tournament wins during spring break. Monroe led 2 to 1 in the bottom of the 7th inning. Although JFK rallied to get the tying run on base, Monroe?s pitcher squeezed out a ?K? and took home the victory.
