A Monroe runner is getting close to logging 1,000 miles since the start of the pandemic.
Zachary Peterson is a 33-year-old who has run nearly 3 miles every day since his gym first shut down last year.
Peterson says he's run in 0-to-100-degree weather and lost 20 pounds - but life may soon slow him down, just for a bit.
"We are expecting our first child in a little under eight weeks. I think my wife is going to make me pump the brakes for a couple of days. I don't think she wants me running laps in the hospital parking lot – I'll get some flak for that," he says.
Peterson says they have a jogger stroller on their registry and is looking forward to running with his wife and their baby girl.
