A brazen burglary at a home in Monsey is under investigation.
It happened shortly after 4 a.m. Thursday on Lyncrest Drive.
The suspects entered the home and stole keys to a vehicle parked in the driveway, according to Ramapo police. Officers say that vehicle was stolen as a result.
Police say the home was occupied at the time. The suspects entered "unbeknownst" to the residents, according to police.
"It's not safe anywhere, it's terrible," says Monsey resident Ephraim Yurowitz.
Police haven't said how many suspects were involved or if they've been caught.
There's also still no word on how the suspects were able to get inside the home.
"It's kind of unsettling. I grew up in this area, we never had issues with that," says Rockland County resident Menachem Roffman.
Police tell News 12 further information can't be released right now due to the active status of the investigation.
