More than 100 guns are now off the streets in Rockland County after a weekend buyback event in Suffern.

The District Attorney's Office says the event held Saturday resulting in police collecting:

• 71 handguns

• 21 assault rifles

• 25 rifles and shotguns

• 1 non-functioning firearm
