Most roads reopen across Hudson Valley, but flooding and storm damage still causing problems

The Hudson Valley is still reeling from the powerful storms that pounded the region Tuesday, causing flooding, fallen trees and major traffic disruptions.
One of the biggest trouble spots is NY 100 in Mount Pleasant.
The floodwater also caused a partial road collapse, closing the road in both directions between Legion Drive and Virginia Road until further notice. Crews told News 12 that it could take days to repair because, in addition to the road damage, a gas line also needs to be taken into consideration.
Meanwhile, a sinkhole has forced lane closures on Interstate 684 northbound north of Exit 6A, where the left and center lanes are blocked.
Drivers are being urged to plan for delays and seek alternate routes during the morning commute.
All other parkways across Westchester have reopened.
The Bronx River Parkway was closed in both directions between the Sprain Brook Parkway and Cemetery Road because of flooding. The closure extended slightly north of the Westchester County Center, an area known for flooding during heavy rain.
County police say the Saw Mill River Parkway has reopened in both directions near Exit 22.
In Ossining, Route 9A has reopened in both directions at Ryder Road after earlier flooding and a downed tree shut down the roadway.
The Taconic State Parkway in Mount Pleasant also reopened after a temporary closure between Lakeview and Commerce Street.
Officials are reminding drivers to use caution around flooded roadways and allow extra travel time as cleanup efforts continue across Westchester County.
