A Hudson Valley college is taking matters into its own hands when it comes to vaccine mandates.

All students at Mount Saint Mary College must receive their vaccinations before the start of the 2021 semester.

This announcement comes as COVID-19 infection rates rise in Orange County and the emergence of the delta variant.

To allow time for students to get vaccinated, the fall 2021 semester will begin remotely on Monday, Aug. 30 for two weeks, with in-person classes beginning Monday, Sept. 13.
