A Mount Vernon kindergartener has raised over $700 for the American Heart Association.

Ayan Sabra and his classmates took part in an obstacle course teachers set up for students to learn about how the heart works.

Ayan says he wanted to raise money because it was important to him. His grandfather died from heart issues.

Teachers say they have been fundraising for over six years while teaching kids about the heart. Ayan has raised the most money of any student.
