Detectives at the Mount Vernon Police Department are investigating the fatal stabbing of a Dept. of Public Works employee.
Police have identified the victim as Chinyelu Browne.
Browne was allegedly stabbed to death by another DPW worker Friday on East Third Street in Mount Vernon.
Police say officers found Browne laying in the street after being stabbed several times.
He died at the hospital.
The suspect, Carlton Naughton, is currently in police custody.
The investigation is ongoing as police continue to search for a motive.
