Mount Vernon man charged with murdering wife

If convicted, Kurt Fisher faces 25 years to life in prison for the second degree murder charge.

Mount Vernon police have arrested a man and charged him with the death of his wife.
Police say officers responded to 10 Rich Ave. on April 11 to check on the well-being of Kaya Green after friends hadn’t heard from her in several days. Officers found Green dead from multiple stab wounds and trauma to the head.
Green’s husband, Kurt Fisher, was identified as a suspect and it took weeks before investigators found evidence linking Fisher to the crime, and had his whereabouts confirmed.
He was arrested on May 18 in Manhattan Investigators are not giving a motive for the killing.
If convicted, Fisher faces 25 years to life in prison for the second degree murder charge.
