A Putnam County community came together Saturday to remember Elizabeth Howell, a SUNY Potsdam student who died last week in a fatal shooting. Her funeral service was held in Brewster.  

The 21-year-old was shot multiple times near the campus' faculty parking lot.

Michael Snow, 31, of Massena was charged with murder. Authorities have not released any motive behind the shooting.

Those who knew Howell say she would have made an incredible impact on the world upon her graduation later this year.

Affectionately known as Beth, she was a talented cellist with dreams of becoming an educator.

She is survived by her parents and three siblings.
