MTA police: Man punched 9-year-old girl in face at Grand Central Terminal

The suspect has been identified as 30-year-old Jean Carlos Zarzuela. Authorities say he approached a 9-year-old girl as she was standing near her mother in Grand Central Terminal and punched her in the face without warning.

The MTA Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating a suspect connected to an unprovoked assault that happened at 11:49 a.m. on Saturday.

The suspect has been identified as 30-year-old Jean Carlos Zarzuela. Authorities say he approached a 9-year-old girl as she was standing near her mother in Grand Central Terminal and punched her in the face without warning.

The victim reported feeling dizziness and pain and she was taken to NYU Langone Tisch Hospital for treatment.

Zarzuela is described as 5 foot 7 inches and 150 pounds.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the suspect is urged call MTA police at 718-361-2201
