Music fans crowded at The Garage at Lucy's Sunday night to find out which entertainers will be featured at this year's Pleasantville Music Festival.
The festival, which is still months away, draws thousands every year and is popularly known as "New York's backyard jam."
"This will probably be my fifth or sixth time going," said resident Andrea D'Aria, who added that she will attend this year's festival. She said the festival presents an opportunity for music fans to appreciate local talent, discover new music artists and rediscover past favorites.
Organizers said there will be 18 bands on three stages for the 17th annual festival.
Pleasantville Music Festival executive director Bruce Figler said bands are selected by finding out who will be in town, who they can afford and who the crowds want to see.
Resident Laura Marino has been in the crowd of thousands of fellow music lovers before. She urged live music lovers to buy tickets right away because the festival is reminiscent of more popular events, like Coachella.
The Pleasantville Music Festival is scheduled for July 8 at Parkway Field.
